New: Option to control XML indenting.
An 'Indent Output' option has been added to XML Output Options that when unchecked will suppress new lines and indenting in the XML.
New: Option to suppress the XML Declaration
An 'Include XML Declaration' option has been added to the XML Output Options that when unchecked will suppress the XML declaration on the first line of the output.
New: Option to suppress the standalone property
An 'Include Standalone Property' option has been added to the XML Output Options that when unchecked will suppress the standalone property within the XML declaration.
Fixed: Keep column mapping.
Transformer will now remember the mapping of source columns to XML nodes when the source changes but columns with the same names also exist in the new source.

New: Added property to set first value
A new property has been added, to XML Output Options, to set the initial value of AutoText.
Fixed: Errors loading old format .ST files
When opening .ST files created with version 2.5 sometimes elements and attributes would be misplaced in the schema view.
Fixed: Errors entering user name and password
When typing in the user name and password for an Access database the characters would be reversed.
Fixed: Windows Explorer and command line support
Transformer would not open an .ST file when started from the command line or by clicking on an .ST file in Windows explorer.
Fixed: Source column name editing
Edits of source column names were not saved correctly.
Fixed: 'd' and 'ctrl+d' not working in schema editor
The 'd' and 'ctrl+d' keys to duplicate nodes were not working in the XML schema editor.
Fixed: XSD import failing
The XSD Import function would sometimes fail when importing complex schemas.
Fixed: Attributes not displaying correctly
Attributes mapped to source columns did not display correctly in the schema view on the Target tab.
Improved: STRun and STObj sections added to help file
Pages describing how to use the command line utility, STRUn.exe, and COM Component, STObj, were added to the help manual.
Fixed: Problem saving and restoring filters
If more than one filter was defined the second one would not be restored.

Many users encountered problems due to MSXML not being installed.

Fixed: Problems reading smalldatetime columns
Previous versions would fail with a 'Numeric value out of range' error when reading tables containing smalldatetime columns.
Fixed: Occasional corruption in output values
Previous versions would occasionally produce corrupt output values in certain circumstances.
Fixed: Problems reading some UTF8 encoded text files
Previous versions occasionally had problems reading text files encoded in UTF8 and would sometimes try to read them as ANSI.
Fixed: Problem entering license key
Entering the license key would fail unless the user had sufficient modify access to the Windows registry.
New: Source dates without delimiters
Added support for source dates that do not have delimiters between year, month and day (e.g. 17062004 or 170604 with sequence DMY equals 17th June 2004).
New: Force production of end tags
Added a new option to the Output tab to force the creation of end tags even when an element is empty (i.e. <tag></tag> instead of <tag/>).
Fixed: Problems using Oracle
Previous versions had problems with incompatible SQL and listing tables appropriate for the logged on user. This version has been tested using Oracle 10g release 1 (10.1) for Windows.
Fixed: Error when selecting the Target tab
Transformer would occasionally crash when selecting the Target tab when a node was incorrectly linked to a column that no longer existed in the source.
Fixed: Problem with element names when transforming a fixed width text file
When transforming a fixed width text file, element names would be changed to the names of their source columns.
Fixed: Problem with DTD import
Corrected a problem with some DTDs where child elements were not being associated with the correct parent.
New: Advanced button on ODBC Source tab
The new button displays the ODBC connection string that will be used by Transformer and allows the manual addition of driver specific parameters.
New: Windows Installer 2.0
Softsilver Transformer is now distributed as a Windows Installer Package (.MSI). This is required to redistribute MSXML 4.0 SP2.
Improved: MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services)
The Softsilver Transformer installation now includes MSXML 4.0 SP2 which provides a number of security and bug fixes (see Microsoft for details).
Improved: ODBC Error Reporting
More information is now given for ODBC errors including the connection string being used by Transformer.
Improved: Performance of the COM component
Performance of the COM component when processing large tables has been dramatically improved.
Fixed: Problems using Visual FoxPro
Previous versions had problems with incompatible SQL. This version has been tested using Microsoft Visual FoxPro ODBC driver version 6.01.8629.01.
